Hyundai Ioniq 5 overview
The Ioniq 5 is built on Hyundai's dedicated E-GMP electric platform, which is why it drives and packages so differently from converted petrol cars. The 800-volt architecture allows a 10-80 per cent charge in about 18 minutes on a suitable DC fast charger, and vehicle-to-load lets you run appliances from the car. The flat floor and sliding centre console make the cabin feel lounge-like.
